Cladding

Heat treated wood can be used for cladding through the excellent resistance against decay but also because the wood is much more stable against swelling and shrinking. The wood can either be painted, painted with oil or be left untreated to get the weather-grey and white color.

Compared to traditional wood material the stability against swelling and shrinking makes the paint to be more durable. Cracks are limited since the wood doesn’t move as much as other type of wood.
